Super Bowl Swifty-Eight: 5 Reasons Tay Tay And The Chiefs Are Winning

How could this have been scripted any better for the NFL?  Not only do they get ungodly revenue from NFL football and all that it entails, but they also get a whole new brand of NFL Football Fandom, The Swiftys!!!  What is that worth you ask?  I heard this morning on a Boston sports radio show that it is estimated that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship has generated more than $350 million in revenue for the Chiefs and for the NFL.  Isn't it just lovely?  Oh wait!  I almost forgot.  The 5 reasons the Chiefs are winning Super Bowl Swifty-Eight (58)!

1.  The Chief's defense is the real deal!  In three playoff games the Defense has amassed six sacks, eleven tackles for loss, two interceptions and four forced fumbles.  They have gotten after it and knocked out Tua, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson on their way to the Super Bowl.  The defensive backfield, with guys like L'Jarius Sneed, Trent McDuffie, and Justin Reid, are at least top 5 in the league if not top 3, and they don't get the credit because of who their quarterback is, understandably.

2.  Mahomes and Maauto are en fuego!  One thing that got overlooked in yesterday's win over the Ravens is Travis Kelce had 11 catches on 11 targets!  Mahomes didn't miss him!  I keep asking myself, how does that happen?  How does a team like the Ravens, by all accounts well coached by veteran John Harbaugh, let a guy like Travis Kelce get that wide open?  I have been asking myself that question for a while now, and I realized the question is flawed.  I was talking with a couple friends recently about who the best TE of all time is.  One guy said Gonzalez, another said Gronk, and I said Kelce!  I think it's Kelce because I realized teams aren't letting him get wide open.  When he made a diving catch on fourth down in the first quarter yesterday, the Ravens were all over him, and he made the play in spite of that.  That's what separates him from the rest! Even when he's covered, he's open!

3.  Andy Reid and his careful calculated game plan will keep the Chiefs playing mistake free football.  The game plan yesterday was simple:  Force Lamar to throw the ball more, and control the ball when on offense.  The Chiefs owned the time of possession yesterday, 37:30 to 22:30.  If they do that in the Super Bowl or any other game for that matter, they will not be losing!  The Chief's defensive backfield took care of business and the final score made the game look a lot closer than it actually was.  I expect a similar approach against San Francisco, but I think they will have a more difficult time with the variety and experience of the weapons on offense when compared to that of the Ravens.

4.  Reason number 4 has got to be Tay Tay!  If Tay Tay in is in the house for Travis, you know the Chief's ain't losing!  I could see a Kelce-Swift engagement happening at the podium after Travis shoves Goodell out of the way.  How would that be for a post game surprise and more and more revenue for the vacuum that is the NFL?

5.  Reason number five really should have been reason number one:  Patrick Mahomes!  I love me some tom Brady, but we are seeing a quarterback do things that no quarterback has ever done before!  Tom Brady is the GOAT, but Patrick Mahomes is the most talented quarterback I have ever seen with my own eyes and he is a lot of fun to watch.  I learned my lesson a long time ago; You don't bet against Patrick Mahomes!  He makes people look bad for a living and he isn't going to stop now!  The final score will be 31-23 Chief's and that will be the tale of Super Bowl Swifty-Eight!!!
